The downside of being down here is that I’m missing those very last days of British summer when trees are just starting to brown, it’s surprisingly warm and everyone clutches to every last ray in the knowledge there won’t be much about for a while.
If I was sitting on a patio somewhere South I’d be listening to Summer Twins. There’s a lot of Twin bands about at the moment and the only thing they all seem to have in common is their utter brilliance. Twin Sister, Twin Shadow, Twin Atlantic, and now these guys.
Drifty, glowing pop. At times the guitars remind me of Girls, but the vocals are more harmoniously Spector skewed than Beach Boys hooked. Whatever. Download their EP for free and fall in love for yourself.
